The below vital security documents were said to have been recovered in the states of Sokoto, Jigawa and Zamfara following an ongoing nation-wide mop-up operation.

The breakdown is as follows:

– Temporary Voter’s Cards seized – 57
– Old National Identity Cards recovered – 367
– Old Temporary ID Card slips recovered – 11
– New National Identity Cards – 68

– NIS Registration Certificates – 3
– Driver’s License – 2
– Nigerian Army Identity Card for occupants in the barracks – 1
– Primary School Certificate – 1
– Data page of Nigerian passport – 1

In our on-going investigation of trying to find out how people from other countries come into Nigeria and obtain important and exclusive Nigerian documents, and how the security officers aid them, a custom officer who would not like his name to be mentioned told Global Reporters (GR) this morning that President Goodluck Jonathan would not have won “Buhari in many northern states” if the elections were to be conducted as earlier scheduled, because APC had “solidly planned everything to its favor”.

“Those people (referring to the alleged illegal immigrants) are not Nigerians, and would have voted for Buhari and All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates. They were here for APC. Are you telling me that you don’t know what is happening in this country?” – he said, and queried our reporter.

When asked if he was trying to say that APC had planned to rig the 14th February elections in the northern states with immigrants, he answered, “I am scared because I am not comfortable where I am right now to speak more. But I promise to give you details of what I know they had planned to rig the elections later in the day. “
